You can get about one to three Oran Berries before you have to do this task. However you probably have used them or at least only have one Oran remaining. If you do not have any Oran Berries, at the sixth floor of the Goldenrod Department Store is a betting corner, where you pay 300 to draw a ticket. The ticket will win you a #1, #2, or #3 prize. The #1 prize is the TM of the day (the woman next to the ticket counter will tell you what it and the #2 prize is). The #2 prize is a special Pokeball. The #3 prize is a random selection of one of ten different berries, including the Oran. Do not waste your money by trying to get a large number of them. The Miltank needs seven Oran Berries. Harvest the berries in the berry pots until you have seven of them. Optionally, the girl to the left of the Miltank will give you a seal case and the girl on its right will give you three seals. The farmer woman gives you a TM Natural Gift. Once you give the Miltank the berries you can buy Moomoo Milk (which heals 100 health) for 500. Finally in Olivine, the girl in the house north of the Pokemart will give seals.

• Full moon in broad daylight

Witness the Clefairy dance on Mt. Moon on Monday night between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. Wait for morning without leaving the area. • Level Up Unhatched Pokemon

To do this glitch, you must first execute the Pomeg Berry Glitch, which is done by using a Pomeg Berry on a Pokemon with 1 or 2 HP so that its HP loops to 65,535 (displayed as ?35 in-game). Do so, however, with only one Pokemon and an Egg in the party, with the Egg in the top-leftmost slot of the party in the Pokemon menu. After executing the glitch, you will now be able to enter battles and use the Pokemon Egg as if it were a normal Pokemon. It will function as a normal Pokemon - you can view the stats it will have upon hatching, it can level-up by beating Pokemon, it can learn new moves, it can even evolve. This means that you can alter the Pokemon inside the Egg in otherwise-illegitimate ways. For example. Pikachu cannot normally know Thunder when hatching from an Egg at Level 5; through this glitch, Pikachu can. • Pomeg Berry Glitch

For this glitch to work properly, you must have a Pomeg Berry and a Pokemon who has not had their HP lowered as much as possible already through Pomeg Berries. (If the latter is the case, the use of HP Ups on the Pokemon will suffice.) Get the Pokemon to a severely low level of HP (1 or 2 HP). Once you do so, in the field, use the Pomeg Berry on the Pokemon. This will in turn cause the data in their HP to cycle back to the top of the counter, giving the affected Pokemon 65,535 HP - over 90 times the otherwise possible maximum in the game.

• Restart the Game

Simultaneously press L + R + START + SELECT to reset the game.

• Ruins of Alph: Hidden items

In the same rooms where you have to complete a picture puzzle of Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, or Ho-Oh, there is a plaque that has a word that is spelled using Unowns. Do the following steps.
Room with the Kabuto Puzzle: The word is 'Escape'. You must use an Escape Rope facing the plaque. You can easily get an Escape Rope at the Violet City Pokemart. The four items obtained are Energy Powder, Heal Powder, Oran Berry, and Pecha Berry.
Room with the Aerodactyl Puzzle (accessible by Surfing): The word is 'Light'. Use Flash while facing the plaque. The four items obtained are Energy Root, Heal Powder, Moon Stone, and Sitrus Berry.
Room with the Ho-Oh Puzzle: The word is 'Ho-Oh'. You must have Ho-Oh first in your roster. The items obtained are: Charcoal, Leppa Berry, Life Orb, and Revival Herb. In Pokemon HeartGold, Ho-Oh is obtained in the Bell Tower. In Pokemon SoulSilver, Ho-Oh is obtained after you have defeated the Elite Four.
Room with the Omanyte Puzzle: The word is 'Water'. You must have a Water Stone in your bag. The items obtained are: Leppa Berry, Mystic Water, Stardust, and Star Piece. A Water Stone can be obtained by winning it at the Pokeathlon on Wednesday.

• Secret box wallpapers and Pokemon eggs

Go to the Violet City Pokemon Center. Notice the man next to the PC. Tell him certain words when he asks you for your opinion. Use this site to generate these words. This will unlock special box wallpapers and Pokemon eggs in your game.

• Split and fused poles

When you go to the back of the Safari Zone where the poles are, they will split in two or fuse together depending on where you are standing.

• Trainer Card colors

Complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding color. You can earn stars by completing the following tasks: defeating the Elite Four, finding all Shining Leaves, and capturing all 493 Pokemon (not including event-only Pokemon).

Clone Pokemon and items

Note: This trick could corrupt your saved game file. Put the Pokemon you want cloned in an empty box on Bill's computer. Then switch to another empty box. When it asks you to save select 'Yes'. Once it says there is another file, select 'Yes' and at the same time turn the power off on the Game Boy system. Make sure the power is off before more text comes up or you will not get the cloned Pokemon. Duplicate items

Go to the item that you want to be duplicate. Note: You cannot duplicate items in Poke Balls, such as Rare Candy. Then get the password to reset the time and change the day. This works best with berries and balls from Kurt.

Infinite money

Go to the Underground Path in Goldenrod City on Monday. Buy a Nugget and attach it to a Pokemon. Use the duplication trick as many times as needed. Detach the Nugget(s) and sell them for $5,000 each.

Ampharos/Denryuu

Pikachu

Transfer a Pikachu from Pokemon Yellow into the game. It should have an item directly translated to 'Electric Ball'. Equip it to any Pikachu, and its special attack will double.

Red Gyarados

Go to the Lake of Rage in Mahogany Town. Surf the lake until you see a strange red Gyarados. Fight him and catch him.

Tyrogue/Buruki

Go to Ecruteak City, then go inside the second cave (second entrance to Mt. Mortar), turn to the right and Surf. Go to the top and enter the other cave that is there. Make your way around the mazes and talk to Blackbelt Kyo. Defeat him to get Tyrogue/Buruki. Note: Make sure you have an open space in your Pokemon holder.

Female Mr. Mime (Gold version)

Go to Saffron City before fighting Sabrina. Challenge Sabrina to discover that her Mr. Mime is female.

Enjyu City battle

When you go to Enjyu City, go to the tower and your rival will appear, but will not battle. However, if you first heal your Pokemon at the Pokecenter, defeat the Ghost Gym Leader, and then go to that tower, your rival will talk to you and fight.

Monorail ticket

Go to Saffron City and talk to the girl copycat. Fly to Vermilion City and talk to everyone in the house where you received the bike voucher. Someone will give you the Clefairy doll. Take it to the copycat to get the monorail ticket.

Metal Coat

Collect all eight badges, then talk to Professor Elm (the person from the start of the game). He will give you the S.S. Aqua ticket. Go to Olivine City where the Gym Leader was first not there. Go inside the house at the shore, the person will let you go through, and you will be on the S.S. Aqua. You will meet a man that wants you to find his daughter on the ship. King's Rock

Go to the town where you had to rescue the Slowpokes from Azalea Town. Enter Slowpoke Cave where you got the Slowpokes from the two Rockets. Use Strength and push the boulder, then Surf in the pond. Unown Pokedex

First, solve the Kabuto puzzle, which you should know how to get to. The rest will require the HM for Surf, found in Ecruteak City, TM08 (Rock Smash), and the HM for Strength. Surf down by the Ruins of Alph (Violet City) and solve the puzzle there. The puzzles should be somewhat easy. Just put in the corner pieces first. Then, go to the Union Cave. Walk around and find the Pokemaniac. If you have not defeated him, fight him. Then, Surf in the waters near him. You will have to return here twice. Break the rock you find, and solve the puzzle. Then return, move the boulder, and solve the last puzzle. Catch three Unown, then exit the ruins. Breeding Pokemon

You cannot breed every type of Pokemon, although some are male or female (like Mewtwos). They still cannot be bred together.

Breed without the other half

You do not need another of the same Pokemon to breed. Get the Pokemon you want to breed and put it as male or female. Get Ditto, place it with the male or female, and let the breeding begin.

Items from Time Capsule Pokemon

When you use the Time Capsule to trade with the other Pokemon games, every Pokemon that comes from the Red, Blue, or Yellow versions will have an item equipped with them. Some will just have berries, but others have better things.

Defeating Ash

Create a Pokemon team with different types; Grass, Psychic, Devil, Fire, Water, and Steel recommended. Each Pokemon should be level 65 or higher. If not, make sure you have a large amount of Hyper Potions and Revives.

New Poke Balls

You can give Apricorns to the Poke Ball maker in Azalea Town to get new types of Poke Balls:

White Apricorn

Fast Ball: Good for catching Pokemon that try to escape from battle quickly.

Red Apricorn

Level Ball: If your Pokemon's level is significantly higher than the wild Pokemon's, it will be an easy catch.

Blue Apricorn

Lure Ball: Good for catching Water types when fishing.

Pink Apricorn

Love Ball: If the wild Pokemon's gender is opposite that of your Pokemon's you will have an easier catch.
